USDC is the gas, not just the payment
Tips move as native msg.value transfers. The fan holds USDC, tips USDC and pays gas in USDC — no approval step, no second token, no bridge before they can start.
We pay the gas, the fee pays us back
A sponsored tip costs about 0.0039 USDC in gas; the 2% fee on a 1 USDC tip is 0.02. The fee covers the gas roughly five times over, so sponsorship funds itself on-chain instead of running off a budget — and the ratio is a public counter you can read.
A wallet made with your face
Circle Modular Wallets turn a passkey into a smart account on Arc. No extension, no seed phrase, no app — the fan taps once with Face ID and can tip. Arc has no P-256 precompile, so the passkey signature is verified by Circle's account rather than by us.
Arriving from another chain
CCTP mints into Arc's ERC-20 view of the native balance, so USDC bridged from Ethereum, Base or Solana lands as spendable gas and spendable tip in one step — no wrapper contract, and nothing for us to sit in the middle of.

98% lands directly
The creator's share never touches an ArcTip balance. The contract splits the payment and pays the creator's wallet in the same transaction.
2%, capped in the contract
MAX_FEE_BPS is a constant: the fee can never be raised above 5%, by us or by anyone else. Every tip also carries the highest fee its sender agreed to, so a raise mid-flight reverts instead of overcharging.
No token, and none planned
Nothing to buy, hold, or stake. Tips are USDC, the fee is USDC, payouts are USDC. There is no ArcTip token and the contract has no mechanism to mint one.
Where the 2% goes
It funds the gas ArcTip sponsors on behalf of fans, then the hosting and the contract work. The treasury address is in the deployment record and readable on-chain.

Arc mainnet opens 16 September 2026. Sponsored gas and passkey wallets ship with it, so a fan needs neither a wallet extension nor a gas balance to tip.
